#90 Party, Culture and a Reunion after a Long Time

بڵاوکراوەتەوە: 21.03.2022

March 11-12, 2022: Toledo

We crossed the border to Spain at Vilar Formoso. The border crossing was so unremarkable that we almost missed it. There was only a small blue sign that said España and that was it. That's how I wish the borders were throughout Europe. We also left Portugal on the toll road, which saved us two hours of travel time. After nearly 500km, we arrived in Toledo. On our way to Barcelona, this is a small detour that we really wanted to make because we have heard from many people that Toledo is a very beautiful, ancient Spanish city and we also had the opportunity to meet one of our Spanish sources.

Toledo is very beautiful and has many ancient buildings. However, I would not say that if you haven't seen Toledo, you haven't been to Spain. (These are definitely statements we have heard about Toledo.) Because Toledo is also very touristy and on weekends there are many bachelorette parties from Madrid who come here to celebrate. Nevertheless, we had a nice day in Toledo with Elena and enjoyed our reunion after such a long time.
