Back on the farm - almost like home

Yesterday morning at 6 a.m. still in the office trying to clear my mountains in the office and tonight already the 1st day in Iceland is over. Now back to yesterday. My colleague took me to the airport, 3 hours before departure - so that I wouldn't have any time problems at the security check... and what happened, within about 25 minutes I had checked in my suitcase and passed the security check ...hmpf…. whatever you do .. you do it wrong. But I still had enough time to eat something and stroll through the shops. In the airplane, I was actually a bit unlucky this time, my seat was right in front of the toilets and couldn't be adjusted. Not really comfortable and then the flight was a bit turbulent. But what wouldn't you do to get to Iceland :-) At the airport in Iceland, I then had the shock of my life - I thought my suitcase hadn't arrived. It was turned upside down and thus disguised. When it was the last one left and I was about to make a loss report, I took another look at the last suitcase and there it was mine.... Then off to the car and off I went. Driving 90 on the ring road still took 3 hours until I arrived. Magnus welcomed me very nicely and it was a little bit like coming home. The weather today was absolutely great and is supposed to stay like this in the next few days. I could have left my thick jacket at home. The sun is shining all day long and it's probably 10 degrees. It's also interesting that it stays light until 7:30 p.m. in the evening, longer than I thought. Currently, there is plenty of time to work with the horses. Olaf also welcomed me this morning and he hasn't changed in the last few weeks :-). I also went riding today, so the first day was a complete success.
