This morning we were woken up again by the sound of hot air balloons rising; again they flew very close to us. Our next destination was Sarlat-Canéda, THE must see in the region according to the lady of the Cavaroque winery.
We can agree with her, a very great little town, there was also a market, delicacies as far as the eye could see in a historical setting. With the many restaurants, our stomachs soon began to growl, the variety of restaurants was huge, we were lucky and were able to enjoy an extremely delicious lunch (filet mignon on the one hand, a duck breast on the other).
We moved on, along narrow side streets through picturesque landscapes, small villages, every now and then a little castle in between, you can live there! Our pitch was on a farm; Bernard and his wife gave us a very warm welcome and after I was able to take away the initial shock of the German license plate with my more or less passable French, the words came pouring out of her.
The two live on a former farm, still have a small garden, sell their vegetables and some products from the local area to travelers and also enjoy each other's company. A nice give and take!
