As always, the vacation goes by way too quickly and already the last day of vacation is here, which should give us a little taste of autumn in Germany - the temperatures had dropped noticeably.
Today, we covered a long distance by car, as we wanted to visit some sights that were, in part, in very opposite directions.
First, we went to the Temple of Bassae. In addition to the Acropolis in Athens, it is one of the best-preserved temples of antiquity. Although it is currently surrounded by a huge tent, as it is being restored, it was no less impressive.
From there, we almost drove to the other side of the Peloponnese. After a guided tour of the Kapsia Caves, we wanted to visit the crazy church of Mantineia. Unfortunately, we could only see it from the outside as it was unexpectedly closed.
After the unsuccessful 3rd attempt to get a wine tasting in this wine region, we headed to Vytnia for an early dinner.
After packing our suitcases, we treated ourselves to one last glass of Greek wine in our hotel before heading back to the airport early in the morning.
