Twenty-eighth day: San Martin de los Andes (May 8, 2019)

We decide to stay two more nights in San Martin - but not in the cabin we rented, but in a hotel near the town.

I drop off our laundry at the laundry. Immediately I'm offered a Yerba Maté and a long conversation ensues. Infinite patience at the tourist information office. We are overwhelmed with offers for self-organized hikes and excursions. The shops are tempting, chocolate is a "must". The place is spotlessly clean and quite manageable. There are no signs saying "vende" (for sale) - we were familiar with that in Bolivia and Chile.

Lunch including cola for 5.00 euros per person. Argentina is experiencing another economic downturn.

In the afternoon, finally a detailed hike to Laguna Rosales on lava earth. Noble horses graze in open countryside by the untouched lake.
