Arriving in Ísafjörður

After a long drive along the fjords we finally reached Ísafjörður, the little capital of the Westfjords. The town sits on a sandbar between steep mountains, and the colourful houses look tiny against the slopes.

We dropped our bags at the guesthouse and walked down to the harbour for fish soup.
