No home sweet home 🏘

Today I'll give you a little glimpse into my accommodation :) Honestly, my room or apartment - as it's officially called - is one of the big disappointments here. Not because of how it is, but because I had different expectations. You can live here for three weeks and maybe a certain lack of comfort is part of such a stay. However, anyone thinking of a trip to Crete surely has something else in mind than what you see in the pictures.

As for the equipment: In my room, I have two beds, a large wardrobe, a shelf, a table, and a small kitchenette with a refrigerator. There is also a washing machine available. None of it is modern, but definitely usable. In the first few nights, the air conditioning provided warmth. It took a while and was quite loud. In the bathroom, there is a sink with a mirror, a window, and a shower. It provides hot water if you turn on the boiler 20 minutes beforehand. There is also solar on the roof. However, it remains to be seen whether this affects the production of hot water in the coming sunny days. So far, everything is okay, just always remember that no toilet paper should enter the pipes, otherwise there is a risk of blockage.

My balcony on the north and east sides is large, the sea view is not that great, but it's there. However, the sun times on it are a bit limited. But having breakfast here is still a nice way to start the day 🌞 I even bought myself a pair of slippers just for this.

What's missing is the bed 🛏 The mattress has definitely seen better days and I'm looking forward to being back home again. However, the nights have been alright so far and I'm sure I will never oversleep with this mattress 😄

Finally, there is an impression of the sunset at the beach 🙌
