'Adventure and mentally unprepared' ... that's how I would describe the start of my internship in Crete. Almost everyone - including myself - associated sun, hotel and relaxation with the Greek island before departure. The world in a work internship looks different, especially off-season and pre-season. I'm super happy how the other German apprentices welcomed me in the accommodation and we will definitely have a great time together. With their help, the first things for my apartment were quickly bought at the kiosk, so I could have breakfast on the balcony today. My first impressions from the office will follow soon.

Why you don't have to feel bad (yet) when reading the blog? Warm water is 'ordered' here 20 minutes in advance with a boiler and we also easily survived the first power outage last night ;) And when it comes to the matter of words: Nai means yes, Oxi means no, and Daxi means okay. Who wouldn't get confused there?
