1 Year on the road!!!

2020 - What a year - It is impossible to describe what we have experienced in these 12 months.

It all started with a one-way ticket to Bangkok and 3 incredible months in Southeast Asia. Our time in the jungle of Sumatra was certainly one of the greatest adventures we have ever had.

Then came the biggest challenge of our journey - 1.5 months in lockdown in Kuala Lumpur. It was probably one of the most important decisions of our lives not to cancel the trip and to use it as an opportunity.

When we were able to enjoy spring in Sweden in April and started our road trip to the Arctic Circle, we felt true freedom for the first time.

The month with Hanna and André and the shared Midsummer celebration was the crowning conclusion of our time in a country that will always hold a special place in our hearts.

What followed was a month in Serbia full of challenges, beautiful moments in nature, and experiences that we can still tell our grandchildren about.

After our stop in Budapest, the sunny Algarve was waiting for us.

Back then, we had no idea what Portugal had in store for us.

We used the six weeks of volunteering at the Healing Circle Sanctuary with Will, far away from all the corona madness, to reflect on our previous lives and to really think about how we want to shape our future.

In the subsequent retreat with Alex, we had the opportunity to meet people who have become not only fellow travelers and colleagues but also close friends and part of our family.

The time in Portugal gave us what we have been looking for for a long time - insights into ourselves, our previous lives, our relationship, and our future.

For us, 2020 was the most intense, challenging, and beautiful year we have ever had. We have formed incredibly profound friendships this year and have personally developed in a way we never thought possible.

We are simply grateful from the bottom of our hearts for everything we have been able to experience and for the fact that we are allowed to lead this privileged life.

The past year has taught us so much. But the most important thing we have learned for ourselves is that we have our lives and our happiness in our own hands and that together we can achieve anything.

In 2019, we set out to travel for 1 year to experience, learn, and fill our lives with stories that we can look back on with pride someday.

We have done all of this - but our journey will continue, life is too precious not to enjoy it in all its facets, and there are still so many places to discover!

We don't know where our journey will ultimately take us - but that's exactly what makes life so damn awesome!
