Day 13 - full day at the beach, refreshing, delicious, and windy weather - 16.07.2020

After we had a good night's sleep, we woke up around 7:10am and prepared and enjoyed our breakfast.

Then we unpacked some things and checked in for Eve's flight on 18.07.2020 from Thessaloniki to Stuttgart. This way, we have more time here on Saturday and can enjoy the day at the beach until 4:00pm.

Afterwards, we packed two beach towels and walked to Dimitri's beach tavern. When we arrived, we chose two beach loungers that we liked the most and settled there. Dimitri was still closed at that time.

When Dimitri finally arrived, we each ordered a nice ice-cold beer (Vergina).

Occasionally, Eve's favorite seagull, a young seagull, would come by and gain more trust in us, getting closer each time, much to Eve's delight.

We spent the whole time at the beach until the afternoon, sometimes going for a swim and actually feeling cold in the fresh breeze. However, we both got more sun than planned, despite using good sun protection and wandering in the shade :-) (We'll have to use plenty of olive oil at home to moisturize)

Today, Dimitri treated us to some good Tsipouro and later even a plate full of freshly prepared mussels + lemon. Mmm, that was delicious.

As more dark clouds started to gather, we paid and Dimitri gave us a Greek coffee to help us get home safely.

On the way to the accommodation, we got some Pita Gyros and a few bottles of beer for dinner, which we enjoyed at the accommodation (including here while posting).

Since a long day in the fresh, windy, and sunny sea air can be quite tiring, especially if you've had some beer, Eve fell asleep after dinner. Let's allow her this rest :-)
