Bangkok City

With ferry and bus, we take the long way to our final stop in Thailand. Late in the evening, we arrive in Bangkok and make our way through the busy Khao San Road to our accommodation.
The next day, we explore the area a bit and stroll through some shops, markets, and get some tips for the city.
Unfortunately, I'm feeling a bit under the weather, but I still take the opportunity to visit some attractions. So, one morning, we set off to Pom Pra Sumen and the adjacent pier, from where we take a small boat along the river to the temples. We walk through some stalls and reach the Wat Pho temple complex, which we also admire from the inside. We also visit the Grand Palace and other beautiful temples and memorials with complicated names. Unfortunately, the weather is not on our side. The hot 38°C is not the best temperature for urban walks, and it starts to rain, but it doesn't bring any coolness.
The weather is consistently the same, so we are a bit lazy and don't always torture ourselves through the heat of the city for too long.
Before leaving Thailand, we visit the Chatuchak Market, which is located just outside of Bangkok and takes place on the weekends. The market is huge. We wind our way through thousands of small alleys between the stalls and see what is being offered. Whatever you are looking for, you will surely find it here. Clothing, fabrics, shoes, bags, items for dogs, artwork, jewelry, household items, ... And of course, there is also a section where various drinks and dishes are sold here.
In the evening,
I walk through Khao San Road once again and buy long, lightweight clothing for India and whatever I can still afford with the remaining Baht. ;)
At night, we check out and call a taxi to the airport. Unfortunately, the taxi driver is unable to close his trunk. From the darkness, a young Englishman gets involved and, to our surprise, speaks to the people in Thai. Another taxi is quickly organized, and we quickly reach our destination in a fast ride.
