... I am ALSO homeless since yesterday
Yes, we have a neighbor on our beautiful site. He likes to listen to loud, very loud music and lives in an old golf. In a very short conversation asking him to turn the music down a bit, he tells us, 'I am also homeless since yesterday.' We did not explain our situation - why should we, everyone should think what they want, and if we are homeless for him, then so be it.
Loudness will continue to be our issue...
The noise level around our new home is slowly getting annoying. Warning signals seem to go off every 5 minutes, loud car noises, constantly triggering car alarms, etc. I want to hear the wind, the leaves rustling, the waves crashing, or simply NOTHING - to be able to enjoy peaceful silence.
It's time!
There are still about 5 weeks left until we start our adventure. Wilma marks off a small box in our calendar every day so she gets a sense that it's starting soon.
A little bit still needs to be done and the next few weeks are packed with final vaccination appointments, checking the travel first aid kit, buying gas bottles, children's birthdays, etc. But thankfully, we have overcome our biggest challenge - selling our car. That was an important financial point.
Nature is unpredictable.
We are currently following the weather situation around the Mediterranean Sea with great concern, and we are becoming more aware that we are very at the mercy of nature in our motorhome. We are used to storms and rain on the coast, but the dimensions in the south are different. Currently, the weather is supposed to calm down again. It is clear to us that we will have to look at weather forecasts much more regularly and actively drive according to them.
