Day 88: heading north over the Wolkenpass

From the peninsula yesterday, we could already partially anticipate our route for today and were all the more excited to ride the famous Wolkenpass through the mountains. This physically separates Vietnam into the north and south. The weather is said to be better on the northern side, although we haven't had any problems with it in the past few days.

Our journey started with a big bridge and along the coast. After a few kilometers, we started going uphill. We fought our way up the entire way to the summit with our three motorcycles. The whole time, we had a beautiful view of the sea. On the way down, my front brake suddenly stopped working, so I had to use the engine brake and the rear brake to ride to the next mechanic. But this went smoothly. After the repair, we continued along the coast until we reached Hue. Upon arriving in the city, we looked for our hostel and checked in. We immediately went to the nearest cinema to avoid the same problems as yesterday and bought three tickets. We spent the evening until the start of the movie with dinner and chilling in the hostel.
