Today we had a very short distance to drive to Da Nang, our next destination: a whopping 30km.
So we took our time in the morning. The road led us along the coast. On the way, five individual hills appeared on the left, the Marble Mountains. In one of these mountains there is a larger cave that has been converted into a temple. So we made a stop, but all three of us didn't feel comfortable leaving the motorcycles with all our luggage just standing there. That's why I stayed with the motorcycles and had an ice cream as a second breakfast, while Jan and Markus visited the temple.
After we were all back together, we continued to the very modern and new-looking city of Da Nang and checked into our hostel. We specifically chose it because it is close to the cinema, as we wanted to watch the new Star Wars movie in the evening.
Since we still had the entire afternoon available, we took our motorcycles and drove around and over the Monkey Peninsula, which is directly adjacent to the city. We had some beautiful views of the city, the mountains, and the sea. We just didn't see any monkeys!
Back at the hostel, we freshened up and walked to the cinema. Like the other one a week ago, this one was also located in a large shopping center. When we asked for tickets to our movie, we unfortunately had to realize that the film was completely sold out. We tried another cinema, but it hadn't even opened. We went back to our hostel and spent the rest of the evening on the rooftop terrace.
