Continuing along the wonderful Great Ocean Road until just before Torquay to the 'world-famous' Bells Beach, a mecca for surfers (famous for its particularly high waves and hosting various world cups). Today, in moderate weather, there was only one surfer out and he was just a dot in the giant waves. Hallelujah.
After about 200 km, we were back in civilization. Quite refreshing after so much province. Just dropped off the car.
We are staying at the 'Double Tree-Hilton' right in the city center.
We got a first impression of the city by tram (completely free in the city center) and a little bit of walking. Tomorrow we will explore Melbourne by bike, more on that later...
