What did we learn today?
Don't rely on the weather forecast.
Showers and thunderstorms were forecast for today around midday. But no luck. It was warm and sunny.
OK, there was a light drizzle for the first few kilometers. It was nasty and pervasive, but for a Wuppertaler it was ultimately just a child's birthday party.
So it might be.
The day started again with a great breakfast in a great accommodation. I hope it continues like this.
The tour was a bit shorter today. The odometer showed around 85 km.
Otherwise, the ride was once again extremely relaxed. No headwind, quite the opposite, the wind was always coming slightly from behind. A relief compared to yesterday. My legs and bottom still feel good, too. So everything is perfect.
And finally, the real reason for the trip was reached. Arrived at the sea.
Haven't had a chance to get my feet wet yet today, but there's still time for that tomorrow and in the next few days.
I don't know when I was last in Scheveningen, it must have been 25 years ago. But what happened there? 😳
This is a tourist fairground to the power of 10.
I actually wanted to have a nice lunch there, but I quickly got out of there. Terrible.
Then I gave Kibbeling to the next place, in Katwijk. After all, it is one of the culinary highlights in the Netherlands. 🤣
In the evening we have a delicious pizza and a beer in Hillegom and tomorrow we'll continue on to Anna Paulowna.
Let's see how many kilometers it will be. I have a few options to shorten or extend the route. But the main thing is that there is a lot of sea. 🥰
