Day 2: Key West

Wɔatintim: 19.12.2018

I tried to wake up my fellow sleepers at 7:10 am with great enthusiasm. I made every effort to generate as much noise as possible. Shortly after we started, we found a great breakfast location. We adapted to the Americans with toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, and pancakes. The weather allowed us to be out and about in shorts and t-shirts. We reached our destination in Key West around lunchtime. After a few extra rounds, we found our guesthouse before exploring the city on foot. The beautiful thing here in Key West is the well-maintained old wooden houses that belong to the city center. It's a bit unusual to see the houses decorated for Christmas in these warm temperatures. Of course, we couldn't miss the southernmost point of the USA. Here too, it was an unusual sight. People queued to take the obligatory picture and nobody pushed in. On the way back, we visited a small papiliorama. We finished the second day with a light dinner.
