Chapter 5.1 - Ciao Quy Nhon, Hello Da Nang

11:40am

I'm sitting in bed. Backpacks are packed. We will check out at 12pm and wander around the city for a while. I hope the sun shines today like it did yesterday. Not at all

I want to be at the bus station at 5pm to find out which bus to take. When I was packing my backpack, I noticed that one sock is missing. I will ask again at the reception.

2:12pm

We are sitting in the plaza and having a drink. We went to the beach again. I think we will go to the GO Supermarket for dinner. Or at least we will take something with us. It's somehow sad that we are splitting up, but it is what it is.

5:05pm

I'm on the bus to Da Nang. The son of the homestay owner even drove me to the bus station. Without him, I wouldn't have found the bus and probably wouldn't have reached it on time. The departure time was actually 5:30pm. But everything works out, luckily :)

Goodbye Quy Nhon. It was almost too short. 320km in 7 hours to Da Nang. Let's go. We keep picking up people along the way. I somehow like bus rides now.

Whether we will make another rest stop remains to be seen. I could definitely hold out food-wise.

7:41pm

After a toilet break and some food, we continue. Peer, Ole and I are playing Online Durak.

A few more hours left. I let myself drift through the night. Airpods in and off we go.

By the way, people keep getting off somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Apparently, there is also the possibility to use alternative bus stops upon request.

9:07pm

We stop at a gas station. People switch to another bus. Where it is going, I have no idea. I hope my bus is going to Da Nang! It's probably also a short toilet break. Fortunately, I don't have to go.

12:22am

I'm lying in my palace bed. The shower was really good. The ride with Grab was a bit expensive. 171k but now I don't care. I'm on the 10th floor in a hotel. The room is really an upgrade from the homestay where I was with Ole and Peer. 11.70€ per night including breakfast. More information tomorrow. The buffet is only available until 9:00am. So good night friends.
