Hiking. Multi-day. Since the USA, I haven't been hiking for so long. The plan was to reach Laguna Otun at nearly 4000m on the second day, to conquer the south after a long third day, and then to see the Cocora Valley with the tallest wax palms in the world, Colombia's national tree by now, and to come 'directly' to Salento from there. A big loop through the Los Nevados National Park. Pipe dream (There were a few!), Wishful thinking. Day 3 was a huge wandering, even more than the previous days. Way too many paths, trampled by horses and cows, or no path at all. Or fences in between, which you have to climb over or under. And back again. It's an art to keep track of it all. Not for me this time. So back. To the home base, to Pereira. The journey is the destination. And thank goodness I took so many 'shortcuts' on the first two days, so I didn't have to repeat everything ;)
