Drama Lama

The morning started out well. Somewhat refreshed, we set off to the supermarket, hungry and joyful, to do our shopping for the day and especially for breakfast. We returned to the house with a large purchase. Since our apartment is on the fourth floor, we decided to take the elevator. Unfortunately, the unthinkable happened. From Anna's seemingly weak hand, the key fell to the floor and then in slow motion down the entire elevator shaft into the black hole. Somewhat shocked and still very hungry, we set out to find the precious item. It was hopeless. So the poor and very stressed landlord had to interrupt her gardening and call the property management. For the poor woman, the day was also ruined. Atypically for the usual French conditions, a locksmith was on site within minutes and retrieved the key for us. It was worth it to him to work a few minutes on the weekend. After that, our day turned out well, as we could finally enjoy our royal breakfast. Then we set off to Monaco to admire one of Vera's future ships. Anna thought it was a cruise ship. We saw beautiful police officers (especially their uniforms) and even more 'top models' with super mobile photographers. They didn't see much of the city as they were more focused on their not-so-crazy outfits. The old town is indeed very beautiful, but unfortunately the rest is not worth seeing. The train station was actually the most beautiful. Driven by hunger, we returned to Menton, directly to the toaster to enjoy a delicious Croque Monsieur. With full stomachs (sorry, Mom), we went straight to the warm sea for a swim. With the obligatory stress, we walked through the streets of Menton City, soaking wet, straight to the now limited wardrobe. In typical Moser stress, we just made it to the dinner invitation with Anna's aunt and uncle, with a 10-minute delay. We had a very good meal and a nice evening. Afterwards, we enjoyed the warmth of the T-shirt by the sea for a while, and then it was nice to go home and go to bed.
