The countdown is on...

Ishicilelwe: 10.02.2023

Well, the train arrived in FFF with a 6-minute delay. Totally legitimate, I would say. Then it was a matter of finding the check-in to get rid of a piece of luggage, through the maze of signs at the long-distance train station. The Swiss woman, who had also fallen victim to Aida and literally started chatting with me in Basel, met me again on the way to the airport building. It seemed like she was relieved to see me. Probably because she thought I had a plan. Sorry, I thought, you're definitely mistaken with me. Me and orientation are not the best of friends. Well, we set off on the search together. And after a few detours, we reached the counter. So the suitcase is gone, hopefully it will also make it onto the right plane, I thought, or rather I still hope. Afterwards, I had to cleverly get rid of this lady because I couldn't imagine spending the next 5 hours with her. So I sped up my walking pace and quickly left her behind. Yes, I know, it wasn't very polite, but yes, she's Swiss. So it's not that bad. The rest of the routine with security and passport control went smoothly, so I found myself in the right gate area at 4:00 pm without any stress. Oh, how I love that. Bought a snack and a Red Bull (I think the most expensive in my life) and then sat down in front of a large window to observe airport life. And there it is again. That tingling, exciting feeling. I'm excited!

The flight is scheduled for 7:30 pm. The flight time is supposed to be 6 1/2 hours. Arrival with a 3-hour time difference, so around 5:00 am. That would mean I get to see, admire and enjoy the sunrise over the city of superlatives right away. Dubai, here I come!
