The villa and time here at the villa is sooooo perfect. We get along great, our house staff take care of our well-being. One day, with a few beers in us, I was able to get a fishing boat on the open sea to the beach. The goal was to buy a fresh fish directly. It turned out that the guys weren't even on their way yet. Therefore: off to the boat and simply onto the open sea with the locals, without being able to exchange a single word (English not available). Now that I am perfectly integrated, you will find a guide to Bali-style fishing in the following text.
1. Attract locals to the beach with beer in hand
2. Just jump on the boat
3. Start the engine
4. Throw the fishing net in a very large semi-circle toward the beach
5. Drain the water from the boat, otherwise we would sink
6. Drive to the beach
7. Pull in one side of the net
8. Drive out to sea again with the boat to scare the fish (and drain water)
9. Meet a group of 50 locals back at the beach, with whom you pull in the net together
10. Count the catch
11. Take the two biggest fish
12. Give the poor guys twice as much money as they would get at the weekly market (20€)
13. Hand over the catch to the housekeeper and ask her to prepare it to perfection
Otherwise we did the following:
- Visited the Teletubbies
- Sunrise hike to Mount Batur
- Dolphin tour (swimming with them on the open sea)
