Cape Town Roundup

Ishicilelwe: 24.01.2017

It's been a long time since I wrote an entry. Today we're moving on to Clanwilliam, so I want to take a brief look back at our last few days in Cape Town. We had exciting days, for example when we went to Boulders Bay to see the African penguins. We didn't think we could get so close to them and watch them so well. We also had a dassie settle right next to us. On that day, we also drove further to the Cape and saw the meeting point of the Indian Ocean and Atlantic from above. The next day, we went to a market where we could buy local products and eat very delicious food. In the late afternoon, we conquered Table Mountain. Mom took the cable car, and I went on foot. I reached the top faster than expected, but we still met up. From the top, we could see a wonderful sunset, and we were lucky because we caught one of the few days when Table Mountain wasn't covered in clouds. In addition, we visited the aquarium and the District Six Museum in the past few days, watched kite surfers and windsurfers, and simply relaxed and ate delicious food. We agree. Cape Town is definitely worth a visit, but we probably wouldn't want to live here.
