14th September from Prad to Dongo

Weather: sunny, foggy, cloudy, rainy

Our Tourmi has to climb up to Stelvio Pass. 48 hairpin bends, at an altitude of 2758 meters, what an achievement 😉.

Then down through Bormio, Tirano to Lake Como in Dongo. After a short walk and a drink at the bar near the volleyball field, some playtime and then off to bed with a swarm of mosquitoes 🦟

15th Sept. short bike tour, market in Dongo and beach

Weather: sunny, few clouds, a few raindrops in the late afternoon.

Bike ride to Brenzio, Stazzona, Gerzeno to Dongo, 8 kilometers. There's a market today, post some souvenirs. In the afternoon, relax by the lake and rent a SUP for an hour.

16th Sept. Plan to ride to Cadenabbio then take a ferry to Bellagio

Weather: sunny, few clouds

We followed a route that was partly hilly or even involved stairs along Lake Como to Cadenabbio, then we wanted to take the ferry to Bellagio. But due to public transport strikes, nothing was happening. So we pedaled back to Menaggio, a beautiful, typical lakeside town. After finding a few geocaches, we returned to Dongo for some Gelato. The rest of the afternoon was spent at the beach. Dinner at Pizzeria La Lampera

17th Sept. Return journey via Splügen

Weather: windy, partly rainy, snow at higher elevations

After breakfast and tidying up, we're off. This time via Splügen Pass. Tourmi has to conquer 51 hairpin bends this time. Short stop at the reservoir. The weather is not inviting to stay, windy and a chilly 2 degrees.
