Familienbesuche/ ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’—Family visits ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’—

So, my dears! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Just in time for the beginning of the new month, here is another small update from my life! โ˜บ๏ธ

So, let me start by telling you. In mid-November, I visited my sister in Kaiserslautern (Rhineland-Palatinate). I have to say, I was really curious about where she lives and what she does there during her gap year. It's about a three-hour drive from my apartment. Since I love going on trips, I didn't hesitate and set off on the journey.

When I arrived at her place, we were able to do a lot of things together. We cooked and played games, went to the cinema, went out for breakfast one morning, visited a local community, and much more... everything that sisters do when they're together and have time. โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ’— I also got to give her a new haircut. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Anyway, she was also happy about my advent calendar. The weekend went by so quickly, and then it was time for me to go back home.

We have a dog named "Sunny" in our shared house. Sometimes, when the owner spends a whole day at the university, I take her for a walk. It's really refreshing to be outside. However, just walking around aimlessly is not as fun for me. ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‚ So at least I got to see a little bit of the surroundings of my new place. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Meanwhile, I have also connected with a local community, and I must admit that I had really missed that. It feels great to be accepted into a loving community. โ›ช๏ธ

Now let's move on to the second family visit. As it should be, let's continue in the right order. This time, I traveled for two hours towards the east. In Selb, my grandparents, aunt, uncle, and cousins were waiting for me. I stayed there over the last weekend. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

What did we do? Of course, we went to the Christmas market, where we also took part in a raffle. Out of 20 tickets, we won 4 small prizes. However, we couldn't really use them. The jam we won went to grandma. โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ™ƒ Do you also have a grandma who can knit? I do! ๐Ÿฅณ I even got a pair of warm socks to take home. They're really valuable to have.

My grandparents live in the same house as my aunt. So sometimes, I hung out downstairs with my aunt & co., and other times, I spent time upstairs with my grandparents. Last Saturday, my aunt, uncle, one of my cousins, and I went to the thermal bath in WeiรŸenstadt. I really needed that relaxation. It was then that I realized it had been two years since I last saw the inside of a swimming pool. In America, I only ever went to the beach. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ

This weekend, I'll be at my own place. The next few weeks and weekends are already fully booked. We have a shoot for our video journalism class, I have a company Christmas dinner at New Yorker (my workplace), and the camera exam is also approaching. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜‚ Because without passing the exam, we won't be able to borrow cameras for the shoot. And just in case you've forgotten, we're making a video about a DJ from Wรผrzburg for our video journalism class.

This weekend, one of my cousins will be coming to visit me. Why? I need to interview someone with an interesting story, and my cousin has one. He is highly gifted and wrote a doctoral thesis at a very young age. I already have lots of questions in mind... I got this assignment for my midterm in my Audio Journalism class this semester. I'm ready to get started tomorrow. ๐Ÿ˜„๐ŸŽ™

At the beginning of last week, I also received some good news: my internship in the US was recognized by my university, so I don't have to do another internship. A little less stress is always welcome. ๐Ÿ˜‡

Since I have vacation over Christmas, I'll be going home for the holidays. I'll definitely write a separate blog post about it. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ…๐Ÿป

Wishing you a wonderful holiday season, and don't forget to remember the true meaning of Christmas. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿปโœ๏ธ

See you in a few days! ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป๐Ÿฅฐ
