Valencia

Ishicilelwe: 09.02.2022

The selection of campsites remains limited. However, we find an affordable place near Valencia, across from the Albufera Nature Park, and stay for 5 nights. The path to the beach runs through a small pine forest along the dunes. Rice is grown behind the campsite. Wetlands are everywhere and in warmer weather, it is surely a paradise for mosquitoes. On the beach, you can watch container ships entering the port of Valencia or waiting to be unloaded or loaded for hours. The weather is not on our side and it occasionally rains for several hours a day. At night, it gradually gets quite cold, causing our backup heater fan to eventually give out. So, we will get a new one from Media Markt in case the other heater fan also kicks the bucket. One day, we dare to drive to Valencia by car. The old town is beautiful, quite large, and dotted with many churches. Rocky plays with a disabled dog in front of the market hall, which is missing its front legs. He can do things like that when he wants to. The rest of the time, we spend a lot of time in the caravan since it rains a lot. Our next destination is Barcelona.
