After almost 9 hours of flying, we have started landing in Chicago.
Flight over the great lakes of North America.
We finally landed at International Terminal 5. It's such a huge airport.
You can quickly answer the immigration questions in German via computer terminals and then go directly to a customs officer to get your entry stamp.
Since the International Terminal (Terminal 5) is not connected to the local public transport network, we took an airport train to find the subway. Really poorly signposted. ;-) We really shouldn't complain in Germany.
We were paralyzed by jet lag and fell straight into bed at 08:00 local time (3:00 German time) and slept for 10 hours.
