Trip to Sweden August 16th - September 3rd 2023 August 23rd

Today we continue through beautiful Swedish Lapland, towards Porjus. We see quite a lot of what you can see in nature in Swedish Lapland. Reindeer, mushrooms, blueberries, a cloudberry👍👍 and cranberry, all in abundance. Porjus is a village where the Inlansbanan also stops, the 1,300 km railway line that runs through the Swedish interior from Vänern to Lapland. The Inlandsbanan is around a hundred years old and yet it is not a museum railway. The Swedish Inlandsbanan is more alive than ever There are plans to electrify the railway and increase freight traffic on the route. New trains are being tested. The Inlandsbanan runs from Kristinehamn on the northeast bank of the Vänern up to Gällivare.
