The night noise

The music and the noisy group of men died down relatively quickly yesterday; at one point we thought they had left.

There was no specific night noise. Slept too deeply...

The day

Concerts are regularly held at the castle. This year, Lea, In Extremo and Matthias Reim will be performing, among others. It's sure to be a great open-air experience.

The Werra Border Park displays themed walls on various aspects of the division and reunification. Contemporary witnesses report with audio recordings, photos and texts document the everyday work of border guards on both sides. It was a very exciting and educational break. A worthwhile trip!

Along the Werra cycle path you will often come across places where boats can be launched. Many tours are offered and organized by companies. In any case, there is a lot of boating activity on the river.

While others get into the boat, Maria stretches her sore cyclist muscles at the Spichra hydroelectric power station.

There was a lot to see and the ups and downs meant that we arrived at the Immenborn campsite at 7 p.m. a little rushed and exhausted. Luckily, we were able to get a currywurst and a meatball after the kitchen had officially closed.
