And it's still raining. It's supposed to stay like this for three days now. In three days, my ferry from Frederikshavn is leaving. Oh dear... I'm considering taking the train. The next train station is in Hadsund. 1.5 hours drive, 17 km. I can only decide to leave around noon. The sun can be glimpsed a little behind the clouds. Maybe a chance to guess a longer rain break. I'm lucky. The closer I get to Hadsund, the fewer clouds there are, the sun even comes out. The wind has picked up now, but better wind than rain.

Motivated by the change in weather and the beautiful surroundings, I continue on to Aalborg. From now on, my app guides me through vast fields, far from civilization. Sensational! The wind is getting stronger and sometimes I have to be careful not to be blown off the track. And now I'm standing in front of a tree that is lying across the path. Great! How am I supposed to continue now? It's not possible to go around. I detach the trailer and push the bike and trailer through the branches. Thank God, it worked. A few meters further, the next tree trunk blocks my path. This time I get through without taking everything apart again.

It's not just wind anymore, it's become a storm. And it's raining again. So I really don't need this downpour now! Just in time, I find a place with two small cabins again. Perfect for a coffee break. Today I'm going to treat myself to a room. After all, it's Sunday and I want to have my things dry again. I book a room in Aalborn, knowing that I still have to ride 15 km and one hour 40 minutes there.

The rain subsides and I set off on the last stretch for today. It's a fight against the wind, the last three kilometers I feel like I'm making progress at a snail's pace. But the motivation to sleep in a cozy bed tonight and have a hot shower unleashes unexpected strength.

Finally arrived, I enter the booked multi-bed room and am happy that I can use it all by myself, because no other guest has checked in here. I ask my host if there is always such a strong wind here. He said this is no longer just wind today, it's a storm. Well, then I'm not surprised anymore.
