The next stop on the tour down the coast was Coffs Habour. The idyllic coastal town reminded us more of Northern France or Great Britain due to the rocks in the sea. The initially very cloudy weather added to the atmosphere. During a walk on the rocks above the marina, the weather slowly cleared up and we even got a slight sunburn. The rocks serve as nesting places for rare seabirds, and the nest holes were visible everywhere (and smelly). After that, we went to the river estuary, which had been adorned by some unknown artist. The rest of the day was spent at the pool.
The next day, we took an extensive walk in the city's botanical garden. It was very generously designed, making it easy to get lost. Then we went to the beach. Unfortunately, it was so windy that we constantly got covered in sand, so we went back to the pool and then on to the bus to Port Macquarie.
