Our accommodation in Lyon was a bit smaller than in Nancy and was located slightly outside the city center. However, it was very well connected to public transportation, so we only needed 12 minutes by bus to reach the city center. But as often, we walked the way there to see as much as possible.
Lyon is a beautiful city located in the eastern part of the country. It is the third largest city in France and is known for its rich history, cultural diversity, and gastronomic excellence. The city is situated at the confluence of the Rhône and Saône rivers and offers a breathtaking backdrop with its gentle hills and historic buildings.
Unfortunately, we only had a few hours to explore the city and all its facets. After reaching the city center of Lyon, we went to a beautiful park. As there was a pedal boat rental, we didn't hesitate for long and rented a boat to take a small ride on the lake. I think from the pictures, it can be seen very well who did the most work here. :D
After further exploring the park, we continued towards the Rhône where we chose a restaurant on a boat to have dinner. We quickly had two additional guests at our table, with whom we gladly shared our space and bread. :-)
While I was engaged with my 2 new acquaintances, Moritz was happy to realize spontaneously that the start of the Formula 1 race was only at 8:00 pm, so he could still watch the race.
We ended the evening in a small bar, where across a meadow a small group of people gathered with their musical instruments to play music together.
