Today we start with a delicious breakfast and sea view on Hawaiian Sunday - which literally delights us with lots of sun.
We casually drive along the coastal road to Kahuluhi in our VW Beetle, and the drive itself is an experience. We have a sea view for almost the entire journey and also entertainment from numerous surfers riding the waves in the early hours of the morning - you really have to be careful to keep your eyes on the road! If driving was always this much fun...
We make a stop at a small roadside market that offers numerous fruits and Hawaiian specialties - see for yourself in the pictures!
The highlight in Kahuluhi is a large fabric store where I naturally pick up a few bargains - a paradise for me as a seamstress.
We spend the afternoon leisurely at our own beach - just across from our holiday apartment. We start our first snorkeling trip - initially without the professional underwater camera, but just using a waterproof phone case. After all, you can still take beautiful photos. However, it seems that my phone doesn't appreciate being in the waterproof case and, does its own thing underwater. Unintentionally, I also made a call to Germany, whoever the 'victim' was (I couldn't tell with the snorkel mask on my face and the glaring sun), I'm very sorry for disturbing you around 03:15 am! :)
As a result, we cannot provide photos of the underwater world today, but we were welcomed back by all our fish friends.
This evening, we will enjoy the sunset from our terrace and look forward to another eventful day!
