Even though there will probably be a new era: before and after Corona, I would like to finish the travel blog and report about the last beautiful days. In Puerto Viejo on the Caribbean side, we were lucky enough to see a sloth on the ground twice. A rarity, as the lovely creatures spend days on trees and only come down to enrich their fur with useful parasites and special algae. Then they are very vulnerable, danger lurks from dogs, power cables or traffic. It was really wonderful to continue watching the animals climb slowly. We also saw animals up close at the rescue station, with impressive, interesting explanations by Jonah, a volunteer from Germany. We also visited the smaller Manzanillo Park, again with beautiful flora, idyllic beaches, and a sloth in a tree.
