Today we are going to the camper rental and picking up the camper, just a heads up, photos will be available tomorrow. The briefing by a funny young man is done quickly, the technical innovations on the Hillux are limited. Driving here in Australia is at least exhausting for the first few days. You constantly have to think about which side of the road to drive on, how to best enter the roundabout, and where the indicator is. It's actually on the other side. Progress on the highway is slow, it's summer and many travelers are on the road, whether they are going back home from the holidays or on vacation, you don't know.
The campsite I was looking for still has 3 pitches, so at least we don't have to search any further. The whole afternoon we are busy with the car, unpacking the suitcases and storing the first groceries, because for a mere 330 Aussie Dollars we have provided ourselves with the essentials. Since storage space is limited, it takes a while until we find the supposedly best solution, whether it will prove itself, we will only see in the next few days. In the evening it has become pleasantly cool, but when I look around the campsite, I'm the only one wearing a fleece jacket.
