So far, every hotel we've stayed in has closed breakfast another half hour earlier (11am in Bangkok, 10:30am in Phuket and now 10am on Koh Phi Phi). So after a slightly longer night we had to hurry up and get a little something from the buffet. But again it was very tasty and there was a lot to choose from.
We then decided to spend a somewhat quieter day at the pool and have something to eat there at the hotel for lunch. We thought a nice place close to the beach would be nice...that was it until it started to rain and the monkeys came out of the jungle onto the beach. Very exciting to see but also a bit scary.
And of course we weren't spared either and one of the not so small specimens grabbed something from our plate.
The hotel staff then stood in wait armed with a slingshot and landed a few hits. In the meantime, we moved to another table, which was a little further inside the restaurant, and were able to finish our meal in peace.
After freshening up, we wanted to take a look at a pool party taking place nearby. We sat at the bar and watched the hustle and bustle - it was pure entertainment.
Another German couple with whom we started talking shared this opinion. A couple from England also joined us and suddenly there were 6 of us! It was a great evening, we chatted a lot and will definitely stay in touch!
