This morning, I couldn't resist the temptation and jumped into the icy pool before breakfast, which had already tempted me the day before.
Afterwards, we had breakfast again on the sunny terrace - probably for the last time, as it is supposed to get colder at night in the next few days.
After about a two-hour drive, we reached our destination for the day - Olympia. Here, we followed the traces of the origins of the Olympic Games. In addition to the still very impressive ruins - including the Temple of Hera, where the Olympic flame is lit today - there were also two very interesting museums.
The return journey - initially still in the twilight - became almost eerie in places as the darkness of the mountains swallowed everything. The isolated mountain villages appeared deserted.
