First impression: wild and barren. Second impression: barricaded, every house with bars and fences, often barbed wire. Third impression: endearingly quirky. Just different from us. Everywhere is being built, swept, maintained, and whenever a few people are lining up somewhere, a flying vendor joins in. Traffic rules are interpreted differently, always to the disadvantage of pedestrians. Honking is customary.
What am I grateful for today? That I feel comfortable.
Afterwards, I still have some errands to run. I have chosen a Costa Rican restaurant for a late lunch.
