So now that Marco was also down with fever and stomach problems, we hopefully made it through. Noah has been spared so far and we pray it stays that way. Eating is not our favorite pastime at the moment... and we're still not fully recovered, but it's getting better.

At least Marco managed to explore the area and yes, find the caiman 😅 Elia was also there. Noah and I decided to skip another adventure and went straight to the pool and then to the nearby river. You can't see it in the pictures, but the river was a lot of fun because of the strong currents.

Originally, we came to Uvita for what was supposed to be the most beautiful beach in Costa Rica. But yesterday, a easily accessible toilet was more important to us.

So we drove down to Dief where we found the next laundry service and had some laundry (8 kilos 🙈) done. It's quite cheap here.

This morning, we were woken up by some crazy screaming at around 5 o'clock. The great thing about glamping is that you're right in the middle of everything, the bad thing about glamping is that you're right in the middle of everything. Even if it means trying to sleep in the middle of a territory fight between pretty large howler monkeys. I have recordings if anyone wants proof... 🙈😴😲

Today we were fit enough to explore the beach of Uvita. Yes, it's really beautiful and also suitable for beginner surfers. Many not too big waves in almost a linear sequence. Good for the surfers, bad for the kids who like big waves 😜

But today we saw more iguanas than in our entire stay here. And I love them 😍. These prehistoric creatures that strongly remind you of a miniature version of a dinosaur. Just awesome. 🤩

At noon, we started the second to last leg back to the north: actually, there was another excursion planned here, but because we're still not fully recovered, we decided to skip it. Exploring a little bit of the beach near the hotel, having a drink by the beach, and watching the pelicans fish while a group of macaws circles above us... well, we don't need another excursion anymore 😎🦜🌊

Tomorrow, we're heading back to San José from where we'll fly back to Germany the day after tomorrow.

I have to be honest, I'm really looking forward to being back home. We've been here for 12 days and it feels like 2 months.

First of all, I HATE living out of suitcases, especially as a whole family 💆🏻‍♀️ I'm so looking forward to my CLOSET! And secondly, we've experienced so many things in such a short time, it's actually not possible in such a short time. I'm completely overwhelmed with feelings and impressions, which I now need to digest.
