To see wild animals on a safari, called a Game Drive here, you have to get up early. At 6 AM, we had breakfast in the dark. Then we set off in the van with the roof open to the national park. Even on the main road, there was something to see right away. Birds and buffalo. Then many antelopes of different subspecies. Something darted in the grass in the distance. We believe it was a hyena. Soon we saw the first giraffes. We are not the only buses, and Reuben chats with the drivers of passing vehicles. This way, we reach a point where some tourists are observing something. In the far distance, a lion is crouching on a tree. With binoculars, you can glimpse it. On the way back, it gets more interesting. We see giraffes. First from a distance on the hill, and also elephants. And just before the main road, many giraffes up close and also elephants.
After a break and lunch, we went on a boat tour to the waterfall. There were many hippos and crocodiles here.
