24 out of 18 with foot bath Paraguay

Ishicilelwe: 19.12.2018

Now it's done. The already long bus ride of 18 hours, which is long in normal cases, was extended to 24 hours due to various incidents, so no one can say there's nothing for the 100€. It started at 13:00 in Córdoba, as I said, I managed to get the last seat on the bus, next to me an older woman who I believe didn't let go of her handbag the whole trip. I had just dozed off when the monotonous hum and rocking subsided, traffic jam in the Pampa, 2 trucks had united and everything was led through a mud track through a village. It took 2 hours! Continuing through San Francisco and Santa Fe, a bit of dinner, then it started to rain, and apparently into the bus, anyway it got wet on the foot, one row further ahead the wetness ran from above from the cladding - 'luck' and only wet feet and wet backpack with contents. By the way, backpack sounds quite cute here like a pet Mochila. At the border another 2 hours were added and then it went a bit slow through Asuncion. Luckily the air conditioning wasn't blasting and I was particularly happy about the broken entertainment system, nothing else worked either, reading light, air vent, etc. By the way, the bus company was called Expreso Paraguay.

But let's not complain, we arrived and the seats were old and slightly worn, but they could be tilted very far back so that you could lie down reasonably well. Also, despite the never-ending and flat Pampa/Chaco, there were beautiful colorful birds, cattle, and landscapes.

Now here in Asuncion, luckily I have a small B&B, with humid 38°, very close to the bus terminal. Tomorrow we're going to Ciudad del Este and to the Iguazu Falls. I'm not really excited about Asuncion, Paraguay itself falls far behind Argentina.
