What a day..

We have been on the road for 9 days now, which is usually the maximum duration of a trip for us, and we still feel more than comfortable.

Today, we visited Lake Iseo and Lake Idro. But first, let's start at the beginning. After our Italian camper neighbors were quite loud yesterday, we expected to sleep well again. Mondays are always market days in Peschiera, and we couldn't miss that. It was really great, I finally managed to get the bags I wanted and a few other little things weighed down our wallets 😜.

After packing up, we headed away from the mega traffic jam in Peschiera towards Lake Iseo. The lake is incredibly beautiful, worth seeing, and above all, clean compared to Lake Garda. After a little walk including cappuccino and the best ice cream of the trip, we headed towards Lake Idro, taking some serpentine roads. My need for driving in the mountains was satisfied, and Marvin and I were in a good mood accordingly.

Andi was happy that he had chosen a really funny route again. We didn't actually see Lake Idro, we just drove past it because the next mountain was calling us towards today's parking spot. Andi was lucky that there was still some availability there. It is absolutely idyllic, located at an altitude of 1000m in a green area. It is unique. Originally, we had planned to have salad tonight and use up the leftovers in the fridge, but we couldn't resist this little place in the middle of the mountains and the middle of nowhere, and we were more than not disappointed. Finally, we had some pasta. We spent a rather cool night with a total of 6 other campers, mostly from Germany.

We are constantly amazed here, even though the journey with the camper is different.

Tomorrow, we will head towards South Tyrol to spend a night in the Bozen and Merano area before going to the best friend of her sister towards Lake Chiemsee.

I am becoming more and more impressed with this vacation, let's see if I still say that tomorrow after driving down the serpentine roads to Lake Garda, because unfortunately, there is only one way to South Tyrol through the mountains.
