Hello Koh Tao & Kho Phangan

From Aonang, we first traveled to the island of Koh Tao. We visited the Wat Koh Tao Temple, enjoyed one of the most beautiful sunsets of our trip so far, and indulged in fried Bomb-Oreo. We also explored many beaches on the island as part of a day trip. First, we visited the small neighboring island of Nang Yuan Island (hiking to the viewpoint, snorkeling in the Japanese Garden). Other highlights included encountering a small blacktip reef shark in Hin Wong Bay and observing a turtle in the Shark Bay. From Koh Tao, we went to Koh Phangan, where our plans were initially thwarted by bad weather and later by a minor motorbike crash. Instead of the Full Moon Party, we decided to visit the First Western Hospital to have Buddy's injuries checked, and the Food Court (a large market hall full of food stalls). With crutches, we then continued to Bangkok by sleeper train.
