Hello from Haad Yao. As expected, not much happens here all day. Wake up (of course, once again too late for breakfast), delicious lunch, trying to convince Samuel to love the beach and the sea, have fun and... oh no, that's pretty much it... oh wait... I forgot to mention going out for a delicious dinner.
Especially for you, dear Anita... Samuel's achievements today: our dear friend Angie actually managed to convince Zwergi to walk a few meters on the beach with her and Joe. He also played for quite a while on a wooden seating area, where he walked back and forth barefoot in the sand. And he even went into the water up to his knees by himself, so we haven't given up hope:-)
Before dinner, we took a shower in our room, as I mentioned before, it's a 10-minute walk. Halfway there, we got caught in a heavy downpour and by the time we got home, we were soaking wet, along with our bathing suits and backpack. Luckily, Samuel found it funny. The sea can't touch him, but pouring rain doesn't bother him. Zwerg has his own logic:-)
In the room, we immediately noticed our sunburns, the areas of our bodies that we didn't apply sunscreen to properly. Luckily, thanks to the Aloe Vera gel, which is the most commonly sold here with mosquito repellent, it'll be much better tomorrow. Fortunately, it doesn't hurt. I thought I had completely applied sunscreen to my back, but apparently, I'm not as flexible as I thought and I missed half of my back;-)
When we were done, the storm was thankfully over and the 6 of us went to eat at a small Thai restaurant, or rather a hut, that Angie and Markus originally knew from a blog and their last vacation here. There were only 4 tables and we waited about 1.5 hours for the food, but the prices were really cheap, just like in Thailand. And then it came. The food! We're telling you, it was delicious! From the spring rolls to every single dish, everything is freshly prepared, which is why it sometimes takes a long time to get it, but it's worth it. Whether you sit together comfortably before or after the meal doesn't really matter. As soon as we got home, it started raining again, and it's been raining for 2 hours now, which is unusual, I think. But as long as it's nice tomorrow, we're fine with it. Tomorrow we'll see if we can rent a car and drive to another beach and in the evening, visit a night market in Thong Sala. Good night and greetings to all of you.
