Off to Vietnam - Hanoi here we come, 13.02.2020 (Day 12)

After one last night in Luang Prabang, we stroll through a Morning Market, where the locals sell their vegetables and fruits, chickens and birds, lots of meat and fabrics. Afterwards, we spend some time by the Mekong River.

At 4 pm, we are driven to the airport in a tuktuk.

Perfect, we can check in our big backpacks right away... then we are already rid of them!

Earlier than expected, we take off at 6:50 pm (originally scheduled for 7:15 pm) on a Vietnam Airlines plane.

It's a 45-minute very turbulent flight.

But we land safely in Hanoi, our first stop in Vietnam.

The immigration at the airport goes smoothly, as we have already applied for the visa for Vietnam by mail from the embassy in Berlin before leaving Germany.

Our backpacks are among the first pieces of luggage on the conveyor belt.

Now we just have to wait a little for our driver, who was provided by the accommodation... we arrived in Hanoi earlier than expected.

After a short wait, we drive to our hotel in drizzling rain.

After checking in, we briefly stroll around the area before we fall into bed, really tired.
