Tiring night, sleeping didn’t really work out 🫣 We are wide awake around 4 AM and stand in front of Walmart at 6 to stock up on essentials.
Then we head north on Highway 15 towards the sunrise.
This is always the best part when starting in Las Vegas. It’s only 33 degrees in the morning.
We travel from Nevada to Arizona and shortly after to Utah.
The time zones on the clock are going crazy. In Cedar City, we turn east towards the Dixie National Forest. Passing the Zion Overlook,
we head up to 3,000 meters towards Brian Head. We pass several overlooks of the Cedar Breaks National Monument.
Almost as beautiful as Bryce Canyon, but there are no hiking trails here. After a detour to Panguitch Lake, we head to our accommodation, the Brian Head Lodge. Brian Head is a winter sports resort still at almost 3,000 meters high. On top of the jet lag, the altitude doesn’t help either... I could fall asleep standing up.
The lodge is really pretty; too bad we are so tired.
