We arrived in Dushanbe without any problems. No car defects, not even a flat tire. All border crossings went quickly and smoothly. We experienced helpfulness and respectful treatment at every border. Except for the entry into Russia, which took 5 hours for some reason. They were afraid that we would illegally sell our car to the Eurasian Union. But we also suspected that they had a problem with our destination, Tajikistan. At the border control, there were also tariffs for a vehicle that lasted more than 10 hours. And the entry into Uzbekistan was the only one where there was a baggage and vehicle search, including removing everything. The bags and even our mattresses were X-rayed. But that was just 'by the book' for them. Only when entering Tajikistan, money was demanded. $60 for car, hygiene, and nature park fees.
The Tajik capital is a modern metropolis, which is not only well-kept in the center/government district, but overall in good condition.
