On our 2nd day in NYC, our goal was to obtain our so-called 'marriage license', so that we could finally get married (at the earliest 24 hours later)...
Everything went smoothly. The previous online registration expedited the process of obtaining the license, we had a really friendly clerk, and so we were done quite quickly and successfully. So, we were ready to get married...!
After a quick lunch in the nearby Thomas Paine Park (Susi was getting quite cranky from hunger😅), we headed to the obligatory tourist walk on the Brooklyn Bridge (not far from the Marriage Bureau). It's pretty cool and impressive...
And when you're already walking on the Brooklyn Bridge, why not cool off a bit. We found 'Westville Dumbo', where a very nice waiter approached us and spoke to us in German, mentioning that he studied in Burg, Sachsen-Anhalt😳. POOR GUY... The world is sometimes small.
We ended the day in the early evening at a yuppie rooftop bar ('Lucys Cantina Royale') within sight of the Madison Square Garden. The music was so loud that you couldn't hear yourself speak. Pretty stupid concept🙄.
Anyway, we had achieved our goal for the day and had an interesting day...
