Change of perspective

Atejade: 23.02.2024

We've been in beautiful Sri Lanka for a week and so I (Feli) thought it was time to change our perspective. So I'll take over the blog entry and give you insights from my (blonde) perspective.

As Isi already told you, today is a national holiday here. This means that many people celebrate the full moon in clothing that is far too warm and with far too much jewelry.

We had actually planned to go to Colombo today to see the spectacle with our own eyes. However, we decided against it due to the 3-hour train journey (there and back!). Our German stomachs have to slowly get used to food and local transport.

Instead, I was awake at 8:30 a.m. and happily drank my instant coffee while the others took advantage of the fact that our dear Charlotte (cow of the cottage) didn't wake us up again with her morning song!

As was fitting, we spent the day relaxing by the pool, playing a game of Wizard in between, starting to read our books and cooking!

In the evening we sat together with the other girls from Münster and Hamburg and had dinner in the dark (power outage) and in monsoon-like rain! Feels like home ♡

Now we have enough energy to make the Sakuki Clinic unsafe again tomorrow!
