It's been a while since we last wrote a post here. So after leaving Sao Sebastiao towards Sao Paulo, we met Fabio there.
On the first evening, the three of us went to Vila Madalena and visited some bars, tried Caipirinhas and various Brazilian bar snacks. Very tasty!
After a comfortable night at Carol and Rafa's place in Sao Paulo, the next morning we went to the fruit market of Sao Paulo with Fabio. It was extremely impressive. We could try many different fruits, some of which don't even have an English, let alone a German name. We also bought some fruits there (see photo). We also had lunch there. We had excellent and huge sandwiches filled with Mortadella and dried meat.
After our visit to the fruit market, we went back to our apartment and packed our things. Then we left with Fabio, his mother Rosa, and his nephew Antonio by car to Itapeva. It took about 3 hours and then we arrived in Itapeva at Fabio's mother's place, where we have been living since then.
Since then, we have watched a lot of training sessions and matches of the FUT Escola de Craques (Fabio's football school) and even led two sessions ourselves. Sometimes we also played in the small training matches. Besides all the football, we also explored the city and visited Fabio's house. It is about a 15-minute drive from Itapeva and is a small farm with a huge fruit garden.
On Saturday, we went on a slightly special trip with Fabio. We went to a canyon with waterfalls with his friend Robson. It was an impressive experience, very beautiful and somehow very soothing to be back in nature. At the last waterfall we visited, we were able to take a little swim. But it turned out to be colder than expected.
Since then, we have been mainly occupied with football and the excellent food prepared by Fabio's mother and their housekeeper.
See you soon,
Rémy and Fabian
